Well I see it this way.
When tragedy strikes I try and grasp at the meaning.
In our brains we establish pathways that fit with our memories. So, say we remember an earlier tragedy. One in which we were driven to our knee's emotionaly. Our mind instatnly finds something similiar to the currect situation and references it.

It is not a situation of us instantly moving to fear. We could remember a tragedy and recall how we overcame it or how we were able to help those affected. In this case we would still have our minds instantly reference earlier experiences the same as above, escept we would think. How can I help here, or I have dealt with this before this should be no problem.

In both cases we can change how we deal with the current tragedy. Think of new ways. Try and clear away the old routines in our head. Reach a place of calm to think rationaly and call on guides or angels for help. This is good because these beings dont have the preset neural pathways that just go back to an earlier time as reference.

As to the darkness and light, it's more a matter of darkness fleeing illumination. After all ignorance cant exist once we have learned something.

And the light switch example is a cool way for life to illustrate that point to us all.

Hi Pete!

I have a question.

Would you agree that when you enter into a dark room and turn on the light, darkness disappears?

Would you agree that when tragedy strikes us, that the first thing we feel is fear?

If all this is true, then is our natural state one of darkness or light?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
