~ Regrets ~

All the money, prestige, fame, adoration, power and status means diddly-squat. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t realize that until I was dead.

Yeah, I threw some money towards a few charities, but mostly it went to maintaining my image and status.

Looking back I don’t think I had any real friends. I only had those who wanted to be seen rubbing elbows with me and other famous or prestigious people. It was all fake; a show. And I was no better than my supposed friends. We were all pretty fish circling the same pond that went no where.

My regret is that I did nothing worthy to help my fellow humans while I was in a human body. I mainly played and stayed in the glitz and glamour. I helped me.

We were on Earth to experience and grow; to help each other grow.

Please don’t waste this precious gift you have. Help one another; human, animal, plant and planet.

Selfishness, self-righteousness, self-centeredness and self-induced oblivion to those outside of my self-imposed circle of people I considered worthy to be seen with me.

I was rude to everyone and a spoiled brat.

When I died and did my life review, I was able to experience every hurtful thing I said and did to anyone – human or animal.

I regret all the hurt I spread to so many; and that I helped no one but me.

I taught separatism, racism, hate, fear and victimism – all in the name of religion – and didn’t realize I’d done it.

I helped perpetuate all of that – and I deeply regret how I spread it to so many others. Preaching on how wronged we were. I don’t cotton to anyone being mistreated in any way, but here I was inciting more anger and fear instead of teaching and showing compassion, forgiveness, love and brother and sisterhood between all of us.

These are only three of a long line of beings who wished to share their regrets in hopes of sparing us from living a life that we too may regret. They were from all walks of life and from across the globe. But those with regret all shared the same message.

Treat everyone with dignity, love and compassion. Acknowledge those who cross your path and help others where you can. This is what matters. Not the physical material stuff or even fame. Each one of us – human beings – is what matters.

Don’t live a life that will leave you with lots of regrets.
