A deep peace, a warm peace
that allows the senses to really
hear the sounds of leaves & birds
& rain and children in the distance.

A sense of calm that allows the
smells to really reach and “ping”
the brain.

I wish we could simply be moved
by light coming through the windows
and ponder how far it came to get
here.

A peace that dissolves tension,
stress, anxiety & worry. “Not a care
in the world” is how I wish we felt.

The peaceful feeling of “we’ve done
what we are able & will do what
we can” without fear, guilt or shame.

We accept what is given knowing
that it comes from a place of
well meaning intent.
