If you’ve been working for many years at one thing, or if you’ve been wearing multiple hats, you may have been feeling the pull to just stop.

“I’m so tired.”

“I’m worn out.”

“I’m burned out.”

“I feel like I’m being pulled in so many different directions.”

“I’m just spread too thin.”

These are along the lines of what I’m hearing from others – energy workers or practitioners aren’t the only ones.

Does this sound or feel familiar?

I’m going to use energy practitioners as an example in this article. So many have worked so hard for so long, even amidst being ridiculed, feared, and those who said there was nothing to what we do.

While it’s nice that quantum physics is catching up with us, and many hospitals are recognizing the benefits of – and possibly offering their patients – Reiki, some of us are a bit worn out.

Those who have worked many years are the ones who have cleared the path, held space for others to walk this path, and worked out a lot of the kinks along the way.

Now, some are feeling it’s time to stop…but having done it for so long they feel like they shouldn’t stop. They don’t want to tell anyone, “No,” or turn anyone away who needs help or guidance. It’s hard sometimes to let go.

I get it. Truly.

But the paths are cleared. There are others who are trained and ready to step up. It can be time to let go. And it’s time for you to follow your passion. If, for example, you no longer want to wear multiple hats and be the teacher, do readings, do healings, do cleansings or clearings, work on missing persons or items, do mediumship, offer animal communication, etc. then perhaps it’s time to consider what one or two of them are your passion. You are being presented with, “What do you want to do?”

Maybe it’s time to pass the torch or torches along, and enjoy the lightening of the load. It may be teaching only; or readings only; or missing people only…and let the rest go to those who are stepping forward to accept that which you are releasing.

In other words, you can retire some – if not all – of the load. You can pick and choose now. What makes your soul sing? What makes you excited to get up and get started with each morning? Do you want to re-invent yourself? Or maybe pursue interests that you hadn’t had a chance to invest any time in before?

“I can’t afford to completely stop right now.”

There are ways of switching over while keeping an income. Think outside of the box.

What about building up your passion while you continue with your paid job until the passion part is strong enough to support you? It’s like keeping a conventional job while you build up your hobby until it can pay your bills.

Thank you for carrying the torch or torches for others; thank you for clearing the path for others to walk. Thank you for carrying it for so long.

I wish you enjoyment on the next phase of your life on Earth and whatever your choose to do.
